This week's field trip takes them to the RecordPlant Recording Studios in L.A. to meet the male lead singer of The Black Eyed Peas (the female one, of course, is Fergie); this is the last remaining one of those three studios that were founded by Chris Stone & Gary Kellgren. The first one opened in NYC in 1968, the second & current one in L.A. opened in '69 & the final one that opened in '72 was in Sausalito, CA. The NYC studio was closed in '87 & the Sausalito location was shut down in 2008
While there, they re-record their previous compositions of "Fly Away" & the medley of "Tonight, Tonight"/"Party in the U.S.A.".
